Care Instructions
How do I care for washed horsehide shoes?
Remove surface dust with a soft horsehair brush after wear. For light marks, wipe gently with a clean, slightly damp cloth and let the shoes dry naturally. Apply a small amount of neutral leather conditioner only when the leather feels dry, and test it on a discreet area first.
How do I care for Shell Cordovan shoes?
Brush Shell Cordovan regularly with a soft horsehair brush to restore its natural luster. Wipe with a slightly damp cloth when needed, allow the leather to rest and dry naturally, and use a small amount of cream formulated for Shell Cordovan only when necessary.
What should I avoid?
Do not machine wash, soak, or expose the shoes to direct heat, hair dryers, or prolonged strong sunlight. Avoid harsh cleaners and heavy layers of conditioner. If the shoes become wet, remove surface moisture, insert shoe trees or clean paper, and let them air-dry slowly.
How will horse leather change with wear?
Washed horsehide develops richer tonal variation, wrinkles, and a personal patina. Shell Cordovan typically forms broad rolling folds rather than fine creases. These changes are natural characteristics of the leather, not defects.
